For me personally this is my favourite Chinese takeaway. All the food I've had here has been cooked very well.
Love this take away, food is always great hot and tasty, staff are always friendly and we love the sweet and sour ribs and the curry we would definitely recommend it
Nice enough food but not authentic, especially the Szechuan dishes
I've used the Peony for several years now and never had a problem. However, I ordered some food tonight and the guy on the counter spoke such poor English that I couldn't tell what he was saying when he repeated the order back to me. How hard could it be? I ordered 2 items. When the food came out of the kitchen, another guy handed me my order. He checked the receipt, and the guy who took my order double checked it but again, I had no clue what either of them were saying. As a result, when I came to eat my meal I discovered it wasn't what I ordered. Language lessons needed.................
After reading so many mixed reviews I wasnt getting my hopes up for this but to my pleasant surprise the food turned out to be very delicious and full of flavour! Service was quick and food was hot. We came down to Southampton from London for the weekend and stumbled across this takeaway, if we lived in Southampton this would definitely be our go to chinese - it was amazing!!! Me and my hubby are generally fussy eaters but this was definitely 10/10 for us. Thanks Peony!
