Very friendly staff, good food and speedy service. Lots of real ales on offer aswell as a large selection of lagers. Toilets very clean. Good for watching sports too.
It's ok but the staff have absolutely no idea how to serve shorts. I asked for a gin & tonic, wasn't allowed to have the tonic bottle, so the bar person just pours the whole lot in, therefore you cannot taste the gin what so ever, also why do they assume you want an iceberg in your drink as well, which also dilutes your drink again. 2 cubes are sufficient. I detest paying for a drink only to be ruined by someone who doesn't know how to pour one, or at least ask the customer how they would like it. More training needed!

We've visited this place for meals before and the food was "ok" nothing special but edible. BUT on our last couple of visits I have to say there was a massive improvement, the new menu offers a great selection of food, the food we ordered was delicious and great portion sizes for the price! The only downside was it does get busy, it can be hard to find a table especially if you're in a group of 4+, and it can take a while to get served at the bar. But the price and quality of the food more than make up for it.
I have enjoyed the food there on a monthly basis. It's always been good. But tonight the steak was chewy and the chips and peas were cold. We wanted pie but they'd run out. Hence the 3 stars
